Location: Archbald, PA
Schedule: depends on shift - Saturday and Sunday overtime may be needed at times
This person will work within a group consisting of two to eight people during any given shift. The position requires accurate counting, stacking, wrapping, cutting plastic wrap, and heating the plastic wrap utilizing a standard iron to ensure the package seals. Also must develop knowledge of product type to ensure proper labeling. During counting, stacking, and packaging process this position will be looking for defects and remove defective product prior to wrapping. Will be lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, gripping and will lift packaged product to dock staging area, or placing on a cart. This person will also place scrap material on carts and push these carts down to the bale machine and could lift up to 50 pounds with assistance off and on throughout the shift. Will be standing the entire shift and will also perform clean up duties consisting of sweeping, picking up scrap foam, and making sure the area is kept neat at all times. This person must be able to accurately read a tape measure. Must be willing to work on a team, and will be working with another person generally but may also work independently. Wrapper may also fabricate foam products at the gluing station, and assist with convoluting process. This position requires good communication with Wrap Line Lead and fabrication production workers in a cooperative, efficient, and positive manner. Must be comfortable working in polyurethane foam manufacturing environment and adhere to safety policies that are site specific and within industry standards and have natural attention to detail. Must be physically fit to work in area specific environment and pass safety testing as required by employer.
•Education/Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and 1-2 years related experience or equivalent.
•Language Skills: Strong communication skills are required with a good command of the English language and the ability to read, write, and comprehend information, reports, instruction, and correspondence.
•Mathematical Skill: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed or oral instructions. This may include decision making, compiling information, and analyzing information along with the ability to problem solve involving some concrete variable in standardized and emergency situations.
